November 15 How and Why Should I Read the Bible? Answers With Care While a primary purpose of this discussion series is to present a Biblically accurate understanding of the Christian faith, we understand that participants in the discussion may come from differing beliefs and cultures. The Purpose
Q & A is a three part discussion series designed to introduce international students to the basic principles of the Christian faith. If you have ever had questions about what Christians believe or why they believe, then you will enjoy these meetings. The Format Q & A will begin each week with a light meal and casual conversation. We will watch a video presentation on the question topic of the week as listed below. Q & A will conclude with a brief discussion of the video presentation. The Ground Rules 1. In order to be respectful of your need to study, all meetings will start at 2:00PM and end promptly at 4:30PM. 2. You may feel free to ask any questions and/or to express any point of view that you may have regarding the Christian faith. 3. At the conclusion of the series, if you no longer wish to attend, then you may stop and you are always welcome to attend all Friends In Deed events. However, if you wish to continue to discuss other basic principles of the Christian faith because you have additional questions, we would be happy to continue. The Discussion Schedule All meetings will be held on Sundays from 2:00PM - 4:30PM. The dates are as follows. November 1 Who is Jesus? November 8 Why did Jesus Come? November 15 How and Why Should I Read the Bible? All meetings will be hosted at the home of Howard and Kim Grindle (10810 Zion Drive, Fairfax, VA 22032).
